holds a Doctor of Nursing, with specialization in nurse-midwifery. She worked as a certified nurse-midwife for 23 years and CEO of New Life Nurse-Midwifery Care in Marysville, Ohio. She is currently working toward becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). She and her husband are members of Shiloh Mennonite Church.
